A Volkswagen Sharan Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) is used to find out what the mass flowrate of air entering a fuel injected internal combustion engine. This MAF sensor is required for the engine control unit (ECU) to balance and delivery the right fuel mass to the engine.
